so I was out sick on Friday from work. I dont know if I was sick enough to be out sick but I was out. So who knows.
This weekend Larry and I went to NorCal to help his little sis move into her new apartment. I was really excited for her.. at least for the first 6 hours of the trip. Larry forgot the cord to Alyssas DVD player so we had an unoccupied 2 year old for part of the trip which was annoying. The good part of the trip was that I finally got to finish my Terry Brooks book (ok who is kidding I started AND finished it). I also got to spend some quality time with Beth which is always cherished- sometimes its not the act of actually talking to her - its more like being with someone who makes you feel like youre home, no matter where you are.
So we took the dogs and the kid and headed north. Katie and Mike were having quite a time moving in and watching Larry and Mike work together (ADHD x 2= total chaos in a controlled environment). Somehow Katie will survive, but she is learning to deal both with moving out and living with Mike and being across the country. I envy her in some ways, being able to make a clean start and having a company pay for part of it.
