Das One HUUUUGE Kid

So Larry took alyssa to the Dentist on Monday, the Allergist on Monday and the Regular Dr. on Wednesday with the following results.

Dentist: No Cavities! apparently she has Mama's teeth. in addition to that, it looks like she will have a gap in her front teeth...again.. mamas teeth.

Allergist: use the nose spray more often...WHAT? like you can get anything up your kids nose without their permission. All that goes up their WITH the kids permission is the kids own Fingers and perhaps occasional M&Ms and/or beans/nuts.

Regular Dr.: Alyssa's a Normal size child, if she were 4 and a half. Alas she only just turned 3 last month. At least shes proportionate in her hugeness, weight and height. She just looks like a 4-5 year old.. and yet talks like a 2.5 year old. I just hope people dont think shes retarded or something. She also got a flu shot at the Dr's - at his urging. Quivering lip tears..the whole deal. So Dada got her a pink one donut. Greeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaat. My child..bribed by donuts.

Knock that shit off -now-

or you will fight with it until she is out on her own, and then she'll fight with it.

do not doom her to a life of fighting with food at a subconscious level.

i dont say a thing to her. She loves it and its her daddy time. I personally worked in a bakery at the age of 15 and put on 25% of my body weight. Im just worried about social pressure for her in the way of expectations of language etc. Not about the donut stuff. Thats her "ice cream" time or whatever. It makes me happy to see them doing Daddy daughter stuff. She seems to have his metabolism so im not worried about that. im just saying shes tall but proportionate.

the other thing I worry about is that other kids at this age are small enough that theyre able to be picked up and throw around by parents...and shes getting big for it. However, on the bright side I work out plenty in the upper body area so I try to overcompensate since my mom always told me I was too big for so many things- like being tossed up in the air. Trust me, I dont put that on her. She does gymnastics, she does dance she does whatever she wants, regardless of size, which is more than I can say for my parents and childhood.

I cant say that Im not a little jealous that she can get away with it, but I do worry about her learning to eat well...because larry doesnt do that either (eat well that is) because I have no frame of reference of when theyre supposed to start liking veggies etc, its hard to not worry about that. i dont want to set her up for failure, although it is inevitable in some area or another.
