dying one braincell at a time

Gotta love Customer service.

I do customer service. I deal with people who need help.. more help than i can give sometimes (some things are not in our repertoire of services).

But when I go out and buy something or return it... I deal with a lesser class of people..which scares me. I used to be that person, but I wasnt THAT person. Its ...the retail experience.

I went to Ross to return a washcloth.. a total of 1.99 and purchased 2 others at 1.59 each.

So- i got a HUGE hassle about not having the receipt. She made me wait and sit there with people in line behind me while she went to reattach the tag to the washcloth. Oh mind you the gun had no plastic thingies and then she dug them out etc. Then i had to fill out forms and then finally she got down to business of ringing the return and the new stuff. The total came to be something like 1 dollar and twenty something change or something like that. I had the change portion...but only had a twenty. so then she had no change.... wait for someone to come and get change for her.

then...she counted it 4 times.

How stupid do you have to be? I mean at least if you give me my change that I need... IE the dollars - you can subtract that from your equation and not have that issue later. Customer service is an oxymoron unless you pay top dollar now a days. Which is a sad saaaaaad thing.
