So i had to clean the carpets this weekend. I did it while suffering through an allergy attack and then a benedryl/advil hangover.
On the bright side, the results of the cleaning hath spawned V2 of the blog on chemical reactions.
Well offtrack for a moment...one of the cleaning agents i used this weekend makes me barf so theres more to this than just a simple blog.
So ingredients....Water (HOT for steamcleaning) Oxyclean, and vinegar.
Now- as anyone knows who has dumped oxyclean in a bunch of hot water it foams quite a bit...but BOY OH BOY it shoots up with vinegar...its the dietcoke/menthos type of reaction. It was really quite blissful for someone who was looking at a boring day of shampooing dog pee out of carpets.
As I tried to contain it in the steam cleaning soap compartment it was squirting out different directions. I started with at least 5 inches of water and was left with less than 1 and the rest was foam. Im sure if I got the reaction right it could be more efficient with less leftover product. Alas, my shampooing carpet days will not happen again until we have people over ....again.
